A Moreland 100% Natural wool, hand-woven saddle blanket is among the very best of Equine values. Our skilled weavers with their intuitive eyes and experienced fingers know how to make and adsorbent blanket with consistent thickness. We are creatively improving upon on the Navajo legacy of the double weave techniques that produce classic unique blankets with two, three, or multiple colors designs.

Hand weaving fine saddle blankets is a time-consuming craft, one that takes years of experience to learn properly. The weaver's eye and touch, control the quality by pulling each strand of fine 100% Merino wool to maximum tightness, making sure that it is snugly butted against the previous strand to produce a firm, even blanket.

Our chosen wool Merino , of our New Hampshire Mill, is first, precision spun , then color -fast dyed to last. Unlike most blankets which use a cotton warp thread, our thread is 100% wool. This little extra quality helps to extend the life of your Moreland blanket. The firm, yet bulky yarns we select are, color dyed-in the wool, to maximize brightness and fastness. This gives them depth and interest without sacrificing their brilliance. We pay a premium for only the best materials, so you may look your best. It's yet another reason a Moreland blanket wears so well and looks so fine.
